Nutanix is Hypervisor agnostic, so you can use VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen, KVM, and Nutanix's own, Acropolis. Acropolis comes free with every system, allowing you to eliminate the "VMware tax", should you desire.
Nutanix systems can be deployed on SuperMicro systems (NX), Lenovo (HX), or Dell (XC) and IBM. Additionally, Nutanix has certified their software to run on both the Cisco UCS platform and HPE Proliant. Whatever server platform you prefer, Nutanix will run on it.
